Triathlete™ is a nutritional formula designed to increase endurance, to
energize, and to provide essential nutrients for electrolyte replacement and
muscle development.
It
contains important vitamins, such as vitamin A, B, C, and E. These
vital nutritions support vision and bone strength, skin health, enhance the
immune system, promote cell growth and division and maintain a healthy
metabolism.
Magnesium
plays a vital role in energy
production because it is involved in around 300 enzyme reactions. In cell
reproduction, Magnesium is important in the
development of nucleic acids and proteins. It also relaxes
muscles by opposing calcium ions and prevents calcium ions from
entering the heart.
Another important ingrediant is spirulina (Arthrospira
platensis) which has been the premier choice for supplementing a vegetarian
diet. This special blue-green algae is a good source of numerous vitamins,
minerals, carotenoids, and essential fatty acids that are hard to maintain
at adequate levels with a vegetarian diet. Most notable is the high quality
protein, which contains all nine essential amino acids.
Zinc is a trace mineral that is second only to iron in the body. Zinc is
involved in many physiological processes in the body such as wound repair,
proper functioning of the immune system, cell division, cell growth, proper
taste and smell sensation. This important mineral
plays a role in the proper metabolism of carbohydrates and for normal
