Cholesterol Rescue™, part of the Cholesterol
Rescue™ family of products, is a scientifically formulated, all-natural
blend of three key ingredients that work to promote cholesterol wellness and
may reduce your risk of heart disease. It contains plant sterols, which
inhibit excess dietary cholesterol absorption. Research suggests that daily
consumption of 800 mg of plant sterols, taken with food in two divided doses
as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, may reduce the risk
of coronary heart disease. Combined with the patented Sytrinol™
ingredients-polymethoxylated flavones, which balance your body's cholesterol
production, and tocotrienols that protect the cholesterol in your arteries
from free radical damage, CHOLESTEROL RESCUE may support your healthy heart.
Sterols lowers total cholesterol and contributs to a nearly 10 %
reduction in low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, the so-called "bad"
cholesterol. Structurally similar to cholesterol, plant sterols can reduce
the absorption of cholesterol in the gut by competing with cholesterol to
get absorbed and transported into the body. When consumed in the diet,
sterols are known to lower cholesterol levels, but sterols are not readily
absorbed in the intestine unless they have been dissolved in something that
the intestine can easily absorb. Because sterols are not water-soluble, past
strategies have involved dissolving them in fat.
Sytrinol has been shown to maintain normal levels of high-density
lipoproteins (HDL), the beneficial cholesterol. Additionally, Sytrinol is a
powerful antioxidant with numerous heart health benefits and also plays a
significant role in reducing cellular irritation.
Tocotrienols is another ingrediant to control cholesterol which it does
through suppressing an enzyme called HMG-CoA reductase, and therefore it
also suppresses the liver's cholesterol manufacturing rate, but fortunately
without any of the accompanying side effects. In line with its ability to
minimize a risk factor for heart disease, there is also some work that shows
Tocotrienols decreases the possibility of stroke by having an effect
on thromboxane levels in the blood: a lowering in humans of 20 to 26%
was demonstrated, and also a decrease in platelet aggregation.
